WHO IS BEHIND RETROPEEPERS?
Retropeepers is a small, privately-owned business with a staff of just two (and a half) and we are delighted to have bought the Retropeepers business in June 2016 from its founder, Annie Towler, who started the business over 12 years ago. Annie's quest for glasses that were out of the ordinary and catered to her vintage and retro tastes led her to design and manufacture her own range of specs as well as source special designs from around the world. Annie is soon to return to her native Australia, but I am happy to say, she is still there in the background acting as our guardian angel, guiding and advising as needed. Lucky us!
Retropeeper's loyal clientele has grown over the years and our mission is to maintain the amazing personal service that Annie always offered and to take the company's stylish offering down new and exciting avenues of design, products and markets while staying true to the company ethos.
My name is Lauretta and my colleague Caroline and I have worked together for over 20 years, previously running a Hollywood photo archive, so you can imagine we are both crazy about movie history and have a serious passion for vintage fashion.
Our mission with Retropeepers is to help make everyone who needs glasses look better WITH them than without them. I promise we can make every short-sighted man look dapper, debonair and dashing and every long-sighted woman chic, cool and classy!
If you want expert advice on the styles that would be right for you, just drop us a line or send us a photo and we will give you some fabulous options. We do try to answer email queries within a day or two; but sometimes we are a bit swamped, so hang in there or remind us!
New designs are always in the pipeline and we will try to release at least 4 new designs each year, as well as adding colours to the popular styles [PEGGY now has 15 colours!] We try to keep our prices reasonable; made easier because we don't have expensive retail outlets to maintain.
